CrossFit Quattro Ponsonby is proud to be the home of Quattro Barbell Club and affiliated with Olympic Weightlifting New Zealand!

Quattro Barbell Club focuses primarily on improving the technical execution of the Snatch, Clean and Jerk and related lifts. This program can both supplement your regular CrossFit training regimen or can be a stand-alone program to improve your abilities as a weightlifter and/or a CrossFitter. Expect to develop explosiveness, strength, and coordination, in addition to improving confidence with the fast lifts. You don’t have to compete in weightlifting to be a member of Quattro Barbell Club however, if you would like to compete, you will also need to register HERE with OWNZ.

HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH QUATTRO BARBELL CLUB?

STEP 1

Book in to come and meet Coach Stefan and observe a “lifting” session in action to see if  Barbell Club is right for you (see class schedule below).

STEP 2

If you are a CrossFitter (from Quattro or another affiliate) please skip to STEP 3. If you ARE NOT a CrossFitter you will need to learn the basics of exercise by completing our 4 week CROSSFIT NEW RECRUIT course ($180). These sessions are performed on Tuesday, Thursday (645am or 630pm) and Saturday (930am). A minimum of 8 sessions must be completed over the four weeks to qualify as a pass. Otherwise you may fast track the 4 week CrossFit New Recruit course by completing 3 one on one sessions with a Personal Trainer at a cost of $240 ($80 per session).

STEP 3

Learn Olympic Lifting fundamentals by completing our 3 session BARBELL NEW RECRUIT course in a GROUP setting ($99) or fast track the process and work one on one with a Personal Trainer for 2 sessions at a cost of $160 ($80 per session).

STEP 4

Officially join the Quattro Barbell Club Team! Select the membership option that is right for you i.e. Barbell Club ($45 p.w./ 4 week minimum term) or CrossFit Quattro members may upgrade their existing memberships for an additional $10 per week.

BARBELL CLUB FAQ

I am a CrossFit Quattro member, can I do QBC programming and CrossFit at the same time?

Yes absolutely! As long as you manage your rest and recovery wisely. To upgrade your CrossFit membership contact info@crossfitquattro.com and for only $10 per week you can participate in Barbell Club. NOTE there is a 4 week minimum term commitment and 2 weeks notice of cancellation via email to info@crossfitquattro.com 

I can’t make the evening sessions as I train in the morning can I still do it? 

CrossFit members are permitted to perform Barbell Club programming outside of Barbell Club times with permission from the rostered CrossFit Coach. Please note however that Stefan will not be coaching at this time and you will still have to pay.

What if I miss a session? 

If you are a CrossFit Quattro member you can do it at 5:30pm the following day. 

I don’t want to CrossFit I only want to do Barbell Club is that possible? 

Yes! But you may only train with the group at the set times on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Missed sessions may not be “made up” at another time/ day.
